2017 awakened in many legal scholars an interest in an oft-forgotten provision of the Constitution: the Emoluments Clause. Join Dmitry Vilner and the Law Club of Denver as we discuss this clause and government ethics more broadly. This presentation will highlight some lesser and better known scandals in political history and how the law handled these scandals.
Who is Dmitry Vilner? Dmitry Vilner is an associate at White and Steele, P.C. He graduated magna cum laude from Brandeis University and attended the University of Colorado Law School. While in law school, Dmitry served as an associate editor of the University of Colorado Law Review and competed as a member of the National Moot Court Team. After graduating, Dmitry clerked for the Honorable Robert D. Hawthorne and the Honorable Diana L. Terry, both of the Colorado Court of Appeals.
For this lunch, we will be applying for 1 general CLE credit, and the cost to attend is $30. Please register by Tuesday, January 23 by 12:00 p.m.
